What is Electric Iris?
Electric Iris is Bijan Forutanpour, a developer of 3D applications for the film, television, games, and design industries. Past digital production work and software development for feature film projects while employed at at Industrial Light + Magic and Walt Disney Feature Animation include:
Star Wars, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Spawn, Mission Impossible, The Mask, Congo, 101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, Lion King, Flintstones, Small Soldiers. Television commercial projects include: First Union Bank, Taco Bell/Star Wars, Chevy Blazer, Honeycomb Cereal, Kirin Lemon Soda, Discovery Channel, GMAC financing.
Later, Bijan co-authored version 1.0 of the Maya port of Joe Alter's Shave and a Haircut.
Currently, Bijan is Senior Graphics and Tools Engineer at Sony Online Entertainment, where current and past games development projects include several PlayStation2 console sports titles (while working at SCEA), PlayStation3 fantasy title, and PC based massively multiplayer online game(s).
Bijan is on the
advisory board of Game Developer Magazine and contributing writer. Articles
